Playing United for the second time in 3 weeks, Victoria finally put one across United in the play off semi finals. A belligerent 93 off 70 balls from Nagaraj and his partnership of 71 with Sakthish (30) took Victoria to 211. Nagaraj played one of the most belligerent innings Victoria has ever seen, and was in wonderful touch and his power helped him clear the Wong boundary 4 times (including 3 in a row) and helped Victoria from a difficult position of 56/4 to 211. Victoria's new ball bowlers bowled with amazing control that saw United limp to 30/4 in 15 overs. Fantastic fielding and poor running betwen the wickets claimed the first 3 wickets to fall in the form of 3 run outs. After being down 44/6 in 17 overs, the 7th wicket partnership of 72 between Sundar and Ashwani scared Victoria for a while. But once Ashwani was out caught by Nagaraj (again) of Kotesh, Martn wrapped up the tail in no time. Sudhakar (2/21), Rishit (1/29), Martin (3/29), Kotesh (1/33) and Nagaraj (0/15) bowled well for Victoria.
Victoria now move on to the finals to play San Diego 1, the division champions and firm favorites. Good luck Victoria.
