Creative thinking or Disgraceful moment

I found the infamous clip of the underarm ball that was bowled as the last ball in an Australia vs New Zealand match. I hadn't seen this one before and believe many wouldn't have seen it too.

Enjoy the video and post your comments!!

Great! Thanks for bringing this up ... AGAIN!!! No conversation between an Aussie & Kiwi is complete w/out mention of this. I was watching as a kid and just like half the players on the Aussie team that day ... I was horribly embarrassed. I've read that Lillee (or maybe some other player) actually stepped outside the circle to try and make it a no-ball. Rod Marsh is pretty disgusted from his reaction right before the delivery. The point from this is ... play hard and be competitive ... but it's a game and you should be able to talk to the opposition on the other side of the boundary.

Did Javed Miandad hit that six for a win against India on the last ball before or after this world cup? ;) It was creative thinking on the bowler's part to secure the win... it ended up being remembered as a disgraceful moment in the history of Cricket!

There's innovation in cricket such as Gillie's innings-to be congratulated/ brilliant. Then there are strict interpretations of the law that diminish cricket-too numerous to mention but ususally reflect the timbre of the times. Right now we're not a very generous spirited lot-must be tough out there!
