SCCA Division ONE game has 111 wides!!!

There is a lot of talk and hype about SCCA division ONE teams and how the standard is so high. I would really like to know how this is justified. The claim is the players in those teams are more skilled but I cannot see that from the game between University & Santa Barbara.
Summary
SB bowling:             Extras (b-6,lb-8,w-76,nb-4,ptyruns-20)  114
University bowling:   Extras (b-0,lb-2,w-35,nb-13,ptyruns-0)  50

It boggles the mind that one team can bowl 76 wides!
Let's show them what we can do guys! It was a very good start for us on the bowling front with only Amit serving up a few too many - perhaps striving for extra pace.

What do ppl think re: the difference between Divisions in SCCA?

yeah I was striving for super extra pace.. coz i wanted to beat shoaib aktar... ohh and thanks for the assumptions.. as many may not have noticed that my face was hurting when i was running.. I think i need to take up SLOW bowling.

maybe you should try spin....you could be one of the tallest spinners out there. hahahaha

The point is that these guys in Div. 1 are no better. And this was from a game at Woodley where the runup is nice and even. So, what is the excuse. Get out of Div. 1 and stop acting like you're so special - it's a sorry representation of our league. Imagine someone visits SCCA website and checks out the scorecards - they will see plenty of wides given in ALL divisions. But isn't a leagues top division supposed to be better?

Where is 'The Reporter' - would love to hear his ramblings about lack of quality bowling in Division 1 :)
