So ... can England claw their way into the semis? Maybe if Monty bowls out of his skin, Freddie finds some touch with the bat and KP explodes for a ton! Otherwise I'd say the top four are pretty much set. The only thing is the matchups for the semis ... and the 2nd last Super eight match between Australia & NZ will determine that.
Personally I agree with Ian Chappell who predicted this as the final -- an ANZAC face-off if you will ... but the Lankans can beat anybody on their day with Murali and "slinga" posing problems for any lineup and Jayasuriya capable of devastation.
What do you guys think? For mine the Aussies and Kiwis have been very consistent and bat deep ...
Any thoughts?
